On January 12th, Indradyumna Swami and his Festival of India group started a six-week tour in Gujarat, India. It is the first time something like this has been done at this part of the country.
The traveling group consists of 75 Western devotees from 15 countries from all over the world. They literally brought their entire show from Poland, which entertains tens of thousands of people each year.
There are 21 big festivals scheduled throughout the state of Gujarat.
The first program took place in Ahmedabad on January 12th. The 4-hour long show of kirtan, theater, dance and music mesmerized the audience of 3,000 people.
After the festival tour in Gujarat, Indradyumna Swami and his team will perform at the Kumbha-mela festival in Allahabad for a week.
