New Zealand Temple Reborn After 2011 Earthquake
There are going to be a lot of tears and smiles in Christchurch, New Zealand from March 3rd to 5th. During what’s set to be an emotional three-day festival, devotees will see their brand new temple open after their old one was destroyed in a devastating 2011 earthquake. And they’ll see their beloved deities, Nitai Gaurachandra, reappear after being smashed to pieces in the disaster. Devotees first purchased Bealy Manor in 1983, and opened it as a temple in January 1986.

Aftermath Day 21 - Food For Life Nepal at Panauti
On 16th May, 21 days after the Nepal earthquake, FFL Nepal Team went to Chamkharka village at Panauti to serve cooked food & distribute some relief materials. About 25 Volunters of Food for Life Nepal went to that village early in the morning with utensils, fresh vegetables, rice, dal etc for the khichadi preparation.

Update on ISKCON's Nepal Relief Efforts
So far the Food For Life in Kathmandu and Bhaktapur has served over 40,000 plates of hot prasadam in shelters and hospitals. On Tuesday 28 April, 15 doctors arrived from Bhaktivendanta Hospital, Mumbai, who are conducting health camps around the affected areas. FFL Nepal has also received supply of two tons of grains from Kolkata.

Hare Krishnas Feed Thousands in Quake Ravaged Nepal
With the help of 350 Food for Life volunteers, the FFL team is daily serving five thousand people in Kathmandu and seven thousand people Bhaktapur with fresh nutritious meals. Over the next few days, the number of meals being served by the FFL volunteers are expected to double from twelve thousand to twenty four thousand per day.

On April 25th, a massive earthquake hit Nepal, which is now reported to have killed some 2,500 people. The ISKCON community has also been affected, with many devotees injured and having their houses lost. Some of their relatives got buried under the collapsed buildings and died. ISKCON Katmandu is trying its best to help devotees and people in need by providing shelter, medical help and organizing prasadam distribution.

A massive earthquake struck central Nepal on Saturday, April 25, affecting Kathmandu and he city of Pokhara. The tremors could also be felt in Pakistan, Bangladesh and India. According to international new agencies hundreds of people had been killed across Nepal. Rescuers are digging through the rubble of collapsed buildings in Kathmandu trying to reach survivors. A number of historic buildings have been destroyed.
